Despite the fact that the construction of the Medical Waste Sterilization was completed in 2010 by the Elazığ Municipality, it could be put into operation problem-free in July 2012 by ERA Environment. The shortcomings and licence procedures were completed by ERA Environment and the facility was prepared to be ready for operation in July 2012. Until December 2014, the facility was operated smoothly. The plant was handed over to the municipality after all maintenance works were done.
